Senzela Jade: WooCommerce and custom-order workflow

A jewellery storefront and its made-to-order process needed a reliable handoff from customer checkout to the operational system behind production.

Business challenge

  • The public store could accept a purchase, but custom orders, deposits, customer details and production handling needed to continue outside the normal WooCommerce screen without repeated manual entry.

Work delivered

  • I supported the WooCommerce setup and built the secure integration that sends structured order, customer and shipping information to an external order-management workflow. The implementation included authenticated requests, status handling, retry behavior and admin controls.

Operational outcome

  • A completed checkout could continue into the approved order workflow without staff recreating the transaction.

Public verification

  • Public client website where currently available
  • Approved delivery scope listed on this page
  • No unapproved revenue, customer or operational metrics

Evidence note

This case study uses public or client-approved project information. Credentials, customer records and security-sensitive implementation details are not published.

Delivery scope

Custom checkout and payment workflow
Authenticated JSON order transfer
Customer and shipping field mapping
External reference and status handling
Retry scheduling and admin controls
01

Commercial workflow

The solution reflected a made-to-order sale rather than assuming every order moved directly from payment to shipment. Deposit and order information had to be useful to the production process.

02

Reliability

A failed request was treated as an operational exception. The implementation preserved context and provided a controlled way to retry instead of silently losing the handoff.

03

Scope boundary

The public case study does not publish confidential revenue or customer data. The documented value is the reduction of manual order handling and the stronger connection between storefront and operations.

04

Public evidence and limitations

The public website, storefront journey and listed deliverables can be reviewed. Client-specific payloads, credentials, commercial rules and operational records remain private.

No public revenue or customer-performance figure is claimed for Senzela Jade because commercially sensitive evidence has not been approved for publication.

05

My role and delivery boundary

Technical delivery and production implementation for the approved Senzela Jade project scope.

This Senzela Jade case study describes only the work I can confirm; it does not assign me unrelated strategy, marketing or operational responsibilities.
